Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science based on the use of learning principles to improve lives. The practice of ABA focuses on assessing the environmental influences on behavior, assessment-based intervention, and data-based decision making. ABA is best known as being the leading evidence-based treatment approach for autism and other developmental disabilities.

ABA is Individualized

Good ABA programs are not a "one size fits all" approach. ABA should not be viewed as a canned set of drills. Rather, each program is written to meet the needs of the individual learner.

The goal of any ABA program is to help each person work on skills that will help them become more independent and successful in the short term as well as in the future.
